Symptoms

Unable to synchronize Apple Software Updates for OS X.

The following errors could be found in wsus-publisher.log file in C:\Windows\Logs\pmm folder:

     16:57:29.4731|ERROR|1|Parallels.Pma.WsusPublisher.Actions.UpdatePublisher|Unable to publish product '031-11714'
    System.InvalidOperationException: Verification of file signature failed for file: \\LISC-SCCMQ02\UpdateServicesPackages\a03fedaa-430a-4a31-9e42-5f770723aa73\f7fd9c2e-1cc0-4902-8a86-837eba763818_1.cab

Cause

WSUS certificate is either corrupted or does not exist in Trusted Root Certification Authorities or Trusted Publishers.

Resolution

Verify that WSUS certificate is added to Trusted Root Certification Authorities or Trusted Publishers:

  1. In the Certificates snap-in select Trusted Root Certification Authorities > right-click Certificates > All Tasks > Import and import the certificate you just exported.

  2. In the Certificates snap-in select Trusted Publishers > right-click Certificates > All Tasks > Import and import the same certificate.
